Popular rapper Jay Park will perform for the very first time in Vietnam at a July festival in Da Nang.

According to a recent update on the official AOMG Facebook page, a record label led by Jay Park, the famous rapper will perform on the second day of a water festival in Vietnam’s central costal city Da Nang on July 13 and 14.

In a short clip posted on the page, the artist greets his fans in Vietnamese and confirms his performance.

"...I just want to let all of you know that I will be at Aqua League, the biggest water festival in Cocobay Da Nang, Vietnam, on July 14 2019," he said.

The post has received more than 7,000 views.

Jay Park is expected to perform about five to six songs, including new songs recorded in the U.S.

The festival concert will also feature other international and local artists.

The Korean American artist, 32, was born Park Jae-beom. He used to lead South Korean boy band 2PM, before setting out on solo career.

The artist was chosen as Musician of the Year at the 2013 Korean Music Awards and Artist of the Year at the 2017 Korean Hip-hop Awards.

Jay Park has more than a million followers on Instagram and is also well known as a judge on the Asia’s Got Talent show since 2017.
