South Korean singer and actress Ham Eun-jung, a member of girl band T-ara, has agreed to dub for a Vietnamese TV series.

Nang tho xu Hue (the Muse of Hue), dubbed into Korean, will seek to promote Vietnamese culture in South Korea.

Its director, Namcito, and producer, Bao Nhan, said using the hugely popular singer as a voice actor would help popularize Vietnamese culture and tourism, which is the main aim of the film.

The film crew has expressed satisfaction with Ham's warm and expressive voice.

The singer said she is familiar with Vietnamese culture. "Through the series, me and many Korean youths will get a chance to know more about other regions in Vietnam besides... Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh city."

The Muse of Hue is a mini-series on the renowned Hue cuisine and the central city's tourism.

Places of interest in the central Hue town such as Phuoc Tich ancient village and An Hien garden house appear in the show.

Its first 10 episodes are expected to be shown on Vietnam Airlines flights.

It will subsequently be broadcast on Korean TV channels and Vietnamese social media sites.
