A Kazakhstani TikToker with 25.4 million followers has made a dance cover based on a song and dance by Vietnamese rapper Lona Kieu Loan, attracting millions of Vietnamese fans.

On her account @homm9k, Alina Kim posted a video of her dancing to the song ‘OK’ by Loan, and has attracted more than three million views.

‘OK’ was originally sung by another Vietnamese rapper, Binz, but Loan recently sang it in a TV show. She later posted a video of her dancing to the song, attracting a lot of local and international viewers.

Many of them have posted dance cover videos, creating a trend on TikTok.

According to the Vietnamese online community, the catchy tune and simple movements have made the song and dance go viral in the last few weeks.

Many Vietnamese songs have become popular overseas recently.

Last month, singer Le Quang Hung's ‘De Den De Di’ (Easy Come Easy Go) became a huge hit in China and Thailand despite not earning much success in his native Vietnam.

The short video streaming platform TikTok has been a magnet for Vietnamese youth in the last few years. It had 10 million users in the country as of August 2020.
