They wowed the judges, now the Hanoi X-Girls need public votes for a Grand Final berth at Asia's Got Talent.

As the opening act of Asia's Got Talent semifinals that aired Thursday, the Hanoi X-girls became sexy cats and put on an energetic, hyper-showy performance to the beat of Britney Spears's Toxic.

Both the audience and the judges were impressed.

Indonesian singer Anggun said: "I love that performance because it was sexy in a very powerful, free-line and sassy way. And you know I love the control that you all have over this act tonight. But what I love the most is actually the message that you carry on your video presentation. You should be proud of who you are. You should always carry that high," she said.

Music producer David Foster hailed the troupe as the pride of Vietnam:" So we haven't had a lot of acts from Vietnam and this act really showcased the best of what Vietnam has to offer. Tonight you made your country very proud and that was brilliant."

However, only act will make it through the Grand Final from the semi-final. This episode, Malaysian all-female quartet Nama was selected as the Judges’ Pick, advancing to the finals.

The other six acts vying for the Grand Final are Shadow Ace (Philippines), dance crew Maniac Family (Taiwan), female singer Siti Saniyah (Indonesia), hip-hop dance group Junior Good Vibes (Philippines), magician Eric Chien (Taiwan) and calculator Yaashwin Sarawanan (Malaysia).

The Hanoi X-Girls have appealed on social media and other platforms for public votes that would see them through to the Grand Final of Asia’s Got Talent, which will be broadcast live next Thursday in Singapore.

The other Vietnamese representatives this year, the LifeDance team and boy-girl junior duo Once Upon A Time, didn't make it to the final round, but left a strong impression on the audience this season.

The Hanoi X-Girls was formed in 2016, specializing in Poly Swag Hip Hop and Waacking. They were crowned champions of 2018 Hot Steps Dance Competition and 2018 LG Twinwash Dance Challenge in Vietnam.
