South Korean singer Cho Min Woong dies at 37

Cho was discovered dead at his home on June 29, with reports indicating that he died from a heart attack, as reported by AllKpop on Sunday.

"He passed away from a heart attack while alone at home, and his mother found him later," MK quoted his official fan cafe as saying on Sunday.

Vocalist Kwon Seo Kyung expressed his shock, saying: "I'm shocked that I can't get my head around it.... Do your favorite music in the sky as much as you want."

Cho gained public recognition after appearing on JTBC's "Phantom Singer 2" in 2017. Recently, he performed at KBS2's Open Concert.

In 2017, Cho competed on JTBC's "Phantom Singer 2," a South Korean nationwide pay television network, and finished 21st in the final ranking. Most recently, he appeared on KBS2's Open Concert in June 2024.
