According to The Straits Times, Kim arrived in Singapore for a private event hosted by the Italian luxury fashion house Bulgari on Tuesday.
Despite the details of her trip not being publicly announced in advance, close to 200 fans gathered at the airport’s Terminal 4 around 8:30 p.m. to welcome her. As fans shouted her name upon her arrival, Kim navigated her way out of the airport while smiling and waving at them. She also accepted letters and gifts from them.
Channel News Asia reported that Kim was also greeted by a large crowd of fans at Seoul’s Incheon Airport, where she boarded her flight for Singapore.
The actress’ popularity has soared recently, thanks to the success of her most recent project "Queen Of Tears," which aired on South Korean cable channel tvN from March 9 to April 28.
The TV series achieved a nationwide rating of 24.850% for its final episode, becoming the highest-rated tvN series. It also ranks as the third highest-rated series in Korean cable television history for viewership ratings and the second highest by the number of viewers.
Kim, 32, joined the entertainment industry in 2018 and has quickly risen to prominence through her performances in television dramas such as "The Heirs," "Descendants of the Sun," "Fight for My Way," "My Liberation Notes," and "Queen of Tears."
