"I’m happy for them," Timothy Fok told reporters, adding that he has no intention of pressuring the newlyweds to start a family, as quoted by Dimsum Daily. "That’s beyond my control."

Jeremy Fok proposed to Songsombat in May 2023, with her sharing an Instagram photo of him kneeling with a ring on a boat. Earlier this year, speculation about a possible marriage swirled after the billionaire heir captioned a birthday tribute to Songsombat: "Last single birthday. Stay happy."

Songsombat is a graduate of New York’s Pratt Institute, where she earned the "Highest Honour" distinction and a place on the President’s List. She has held positions at top interior design firms in both New York and Hong Kong, and comes from a prominent Thai family with deep roots in the architectural field.

At 37, Jeremy Fok is the youngest of three sons shared by Timothy Fok and his ex-wife, Miss Hong Kong 1977 Loletta Chu, joining siblings Kenneth and Eric. According to his LinkedIn profile, Jeremy Fok is a graduate of the University of London and currently serves as managing director at Henry Fok Ying Tung Group Company Limited, a conglomerate founded by his grandfather Henry Fok.

The group oversees more than 100 subsidiaries across Hong Kong, Macau, mainland China, and overseas, with investments spanning real estate, infrastructure, finance, transportation, cargo terminals, hospitality, and tourism, according to the Hong Kong Trade Development Council.

When Henry Fok passed away in 2006, Forbes estimated his net worth at US$3.7 billion, making him the seventh-richest person in Hong Kong and the 181st-richest globally at the time.
