Wearing a white ao dai and a scarf featuring Vietnam’s national flag, Nhi matched her in-laws’ outfits and arrived at the venue at 7 a.m. on Thursday, two hours before the event began. The family was shielded by bodyguards to avoid media attention.
During the ceremony, she sat with relatives behind her mother-in-law, Pham Thu Huong, while Vuong, Hoang, and his elder brother were seated separately.
Earlier, Nhi joined her fiancé and his family at the Aug. 19 inauguration and groundbreaking of 250 projects celebrating the 80th National Day on Sept. 2 at the Vietnam Exhibition Center. She also attended Vingroup’s annual shareholders’ meeting earlier this year. These have been among her rare public appearances since her engagement in January.

Nhi, who placed as second runner-up at Miss World Vietnam 2022, closed her social media accounts and stepped away from the entertainment industry after her engagement with Hoang. Before that, she was active in film casting, commercials, and frequently attended entertainment events.
Hoang, 25, heads an automobile company and is the second son of Vuong, who Forbes estimates is worth $13.1 billion as of Aug. 29.
The couple’s engagement ceremony was held on Jan. 15 in Nhi’s native Thanh Hoa Province, north-central Vietnam, under strict security measures with a team of bodyguards. Details of their wedding have not been disclosed.
Their trip to Japan in February marked their first public appearance together after the engagement. Reports suggest Nhi and Hoang have known each other for many years.
