Barbie Hsu’s husband DJ Koo implies her ex-spouse Wang Xiaofei is ‘pretending to mourn’

In an Instagram post uploaded on Thursday, DJ Koo, 56, wrote: "While we are still grieving and mourning our loss, some people are acting like demons, criticizing my family and attacking my love."

"There is someone pretending to be devastated, running around in the rain, while others deliberately tarnish our family’s image by spreading false news about insurance and finances, adding to our wounds," he continued. "At this moment, I can’t help but wonder—are there truly such cruel people in this world?"

His comment was widely interpreted as a veiled reference to 44-years-old Wang, who was seen walking in the rain in Taipei on Monday after flying in from Thailand upon hearing of Hsu’s passing, according to the South China Morning Post.

Before DJ Koo’s post, Chinese actress Zhang Yingying, Wang’s ex-girlfriend, also mocked Wang, saying she couldn’t help but laugh at the video of him walking in the rain, as reported by Yahoo! Life Singapore.

"Now, a group of people have begun to imagine how much he loves her, some have started to revere him because he changed his profile picture several times, and others feel sorry for him because he walked in the rain like he was filming a sad music video," she wrote on Weibo on Tuesday. "How ridiculous this world is."

The actress also blamed Wang for "every tragedy" Hsu endured before passing at 49, a death confirmed by her family on Feb. 3.

Hsu and Wang got engaged in 2010, just 49 days after their first date, and married in 2011. Though Hsu often spoke warmly of Wang, the couple announced their separation in 2021, citing irreconcilable differences.

Hsu married DJ Koo in Feb. 2022, while Wang tied the knot with 26-year-old businesswoman Mandy Ma in 2024. Despite their new relationships, Hsu and Wang remained embroiled in public disputes, with Hsu accusing Wang of infidelity and physical abuse, while Wang alleged that Hsu used his credit card to buy luxury gifts for DJ Koo.

However, after news of Hsu’s death, Wang cut short his vacation in Thailand and rushed to Taiwan with Ma. He also left comments under social media videos about Hsu, referring to her as "wife."

Hsu is a Taiwanese actress who rose to fame through hit TV series such as "Meteor Garden," "Mars," and "Summer’s Desire."
