"This is my first time seeing such a loud and rude ground staff member," Chen wrote in her Instagram story, explaining that she was boarding for her flight to Adelaide, Australia. "He was urgently yelling at passengers to board."

According to Chen, the boarding area was crowded and chaotic due to the large number of passengers. She said that while confusion and delays were understandable under such circumstances, the staff member failed to assist calmly and instead "lost his patience."

"This is your job and your area of expertise. If you’re so impatient, you should go home and rest," Chen wrote. "Passengers just want to board in an orderly manner. You’re being paid to do this job."

She emphasized the importance of professionalism in frontline roles, especially when dealing with travelers.

"Passengers shouldn’t have to suffer because of your bad mood," she added. "If you approach your job with this level of impatience every day, you should take a break, get your mood in order, and then return to work."

Chen’s comments come just a month after Hong Kong International Airport was ranked sixth in Skytrax’s 2025 list of the world’s Top 100 Airports, climbing from 11th the previous year.

Chen, 46, is widely known as the "Queen of Idol Dramas" for her leading roles in hit series such as "The Prince Who Turns into a Frog," "Fated to Love You," and "The Queen of SOP."
