Speaking to Mirror Media on Tuesday, Mandy said she and Wang have faced relentless online harassment and paparazzi scrutiny since Hsu’s passing, leaving them unable to leave their Taipei home. Many netizens accused Wang of "acting" and "pretending to grieve" over his ex-wife’s death.
Calling for an end to the abuse, Mandy said she bore no ill will toward Hsu and denied interfering in her marriage with Wang. She also revealed that she occasionally communicates with Wang’s two children and acknowledged his emotional struggles.
When Wang wrote on social media, "Wife, I miss you so much," in tribute to Hsu, Mandy said she did not blame him, instead sympathizing with his pain and respecting the deceased.
"My husband is devastated, and his two children have lost their mother. The only thing we can do now is take care of them," she said.

Upon hearing of Hsu’s death, Wang and Mandy left their holiday in Thailand and returned to Taiwan. Public attention has since shifted to the custody of Wang and Hsu’s two children, aged 11 and 9. Next Apple reported that Wang is likely to be granted custody. The children had been living with their mother and stepfather in Taiwan, with Wang occasionally visiting or bringing them to Beijing to see their paternal grandmother.
Hsu's family confirmed her passing in a statement released by her sister, Taiwanese host Dee Hsu, on Monday.
"Thank you for all the concern," Dee expressed. "Over the Lunar New Year period, our entire family traveled to Japan for a holiday, and my most beloved, kindest elder sister Barbie caught influenza-related pneumonia and has unfortunately left us."
"I am thankful to be her sister in this life, and grateful that we have taken care of each other and kept each other company all these years. I will always be thankful to her and remember her," she continued. "Shan [Hsu’s nickname], rest in peace. We love you always. Together remember forever."
Hsu rose to fame through her roles in TV series such as "Meteor Garden," "Mars," and "Summer’s Desire."
She became engaged to Wang in 2010, just 49 days after their first date, and they married the following year in Sanya, China. The couple had two children.
However, their marriage began to deteriorate, leading to their divorce in Nov. 2021. Hsu accused Wang of infidelity and physical abuse, including incidents during her pregnancy. She also cited his business struggles and erratic behavior, claiming he failed to support their family financially.
Following the divorce, Hsu reunited with her ex-boyfriend, South Korean musician DJ Koo, and married him in Feb. 2022. The couple resumed their life together until her untimely death.
Wang later married Mandy in May 2024.
