At present, Vietnam head coach Park Hang-seo is watching domestic leagues closely to choose quality players and find more talents for the tournament.
Vietnam are 97th on the FIFA ranking. India and Singapore are behind, at 104th and 159th.
In the most recent friendly, Vietnam defeated Afghanistan 2-0 on June 1.
India are in fine form under Croatian coach Igor Stimac. In the final qualifiers of 2023 Asian Cup, they won all three matches to advance to the main event. Meanwhile, Singapore, under the lead of Japanese coach Nishigaya Takayuki, were inconsistent when losing to Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and managing to beat Cambodia.
