Actor Huynh Lap has revealed his web-drama series "Ke Doc Hanh" (The Young Shaman) will be broadcast exclusively by Netflix in Asia.

Lap, one of the show's producers, also released the official poster and trailer for the series on his social media account Tuesday.

"The Young Shaman" is a spiritual comedy of eight episodes. It centers around a family of exorcists trying to catch ghosts in a neighborhood filled with supernatural activities.

It will be released on the streaming service Netflix starting Oct. 28. This is the first Vietnamese series to be exclusively released by Netflix in Asia.

Though it took more than a year for the film to wrap up post-production, Lap explained it was necessary to ensure viewers experience high-quality footage on an international platform.

Netflix, which launched its Vietnamese language website in October 2019, has 221 million subscribers in over 190 markets.
