Tan Viet Securities chairman dies at 50

Nguyen Tien Thanh, chairman and CEO of Tan Viet Securities, died late Thursday at the age of 50.
Thanh died of a stroke, local media reported. Thanh has been the CEO of the brokerage since January 2016 and chairman since May 2019. He joined the company in 2007.

He has also been a board member of Saigon Commercial Bank since April 2017.

Thanh was succeeded by Nguyen Viet Cuong, a Tan Viet Securities board member, as the new chairman and CEO of the company.

Tan Viet was established in 2006. Its charter capital has quadrupled since to VND2.64 trillion ($110.54 million).
