PwC Vietnam announces new general director

PwC Vietnam announced Thursday that Mai Viet Hung Tran will be its next general director effecting July 1.

Tran is currently the Assurance Leader for PwC Vietnam, a role he has held since 2019.

He has over 26 years experience in auditing, accounting and management in construction, real estate, manufacturing, services, hospitality as well as sales and the retail industry.

Tran's core expertise lies in the area of assurance, international financial reporting standards and Vietnamese accounting standards.

He is a Certified Practicing Accountant in Australia and a member of the Vietnam Association of Certified Public Accountants. He holds a doctoral degree in Business Administration from the EU Business School.

Outgoing General Director Dinh Thi Quynh Van will continue as Markets Leader and will take over the role of chairperson of PwC Vietnam.
