Kensington Palace issued a statement on the health of Kate Middleton, who has been out of the public eye for the past two months after undergoing scheduled abdominal surgery.

A spokesperson for Princess Kate emphasized the palace had been transparent about her absence, stating, "We were very clear from the outset that the Princess of Wales was out until after Easter, and Kensington Palace would only be providing updates when something was significant."

The spokesperson reiterated that the 42-year-old princess is "doing well." She plans to resume royal engagements after Easter, according to People.

The initial announcement regarding her surgery on Jan. 17 emphasized Kate's desire for privacy regarding her medical information.

The timeline for Kate's recovery was detailed, including a 10 to 14-day hospital stay (she left on Jan. 29, 13 days post-surgery) and a continued period of recovery at home with no return to public duties until after Easter.

Despite spending most of her recovery time at home in Windsor, Princess Kate briefly traveled to Anmer Hall, the residence she shares with Prince William on the Sandringham estate in Norfolk, during a school break in February.

A source informed the Daily Mail that "Catherine is recovering well" during this period.
