Gasoline prices in Vietnam on Thursday dropped to the lowest since May 2021.

The popular fuel RON95 fell 5.27% to VND19,630 (US$0.80) per liter.

Biofuel E5 RON92 declined by 5.41% to VND18,890.

Diesel dropped 5.14% to VND17,160.

Regulators said that fuel prices in the last seven days were affected by OPEC+ countries’ forecast of lower demand and postponing their plans to pump up production, while China’s demand remains low.

Gasolines fell 6.6-6.9% and oils dropped 5-5.4% in the period. RON95 now costs around $80.6 per barrel, and diesel $82.3.
