Vietnam-headquartered technology company Kaopiz has begun expanding into Singapore and the wider Asia-Pacific market, securing initial projects and establishing early client relationships.

The company reported year-on-year revenue growth of 43%, reaching US$13.5 million, largely driven by demand for digital transformation (DX) services in Japan, which has been its core market for nearly a decade.

Supported by rising customer acquisition, a broader project portfolio, and expanded delivery capabilities, Kaopiz has opened its first office in Singapore as part of its international expansion strategy.

Strategic gateway for regional expansion

The establishment of a Singapore office marks Kaopiz's first physical presence outside Vietnam and Japan. The company said the move is intended to support its regional growth plans and strengthen engagement with multinational enterprises operating in Southeast Asia.

Singapore was selected for several strategic reasons, including its role as a regional business and technology hub, its proximity to emerging Southeast Asian markets, and its established regulatory and commercial environment. The company noted that the new office will allow it to support regional clients while continuing to serve its Japanese customer base.

Financial performance

Between 2023 and 2025, Kaopiz recorded double-digit growth annually, culminating in a 43% increase in revenue in 2025. Japan remains the company's largest market, where it works with clients in sectors including finance, manufacturing, logistics, and public services.

Demand in Japan for system modernization, automation, cloud migration, and AI-related solutions has contributed to the company's continued expansion and service development.

Workforce and capability development

Kaopiz is expanding its engineering workforce as part of its transition from capacity-based outsourcing to more specialized DX services. By the end of 2025, the company expects to employ more than 700 engineers across areas such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, cloud engineering, DevOps, system integration, legacy system modernization, and quality assurance.

The expansion includes investments in training programs, professional certifications, and technical skill development, alongside capacity growth at its headquarters and operations in Japan.

Investment and service focus

To support continued growth, Kaopiz is investing in internal capabilities and refining its service offerings. Key areas of focus include legacy system modernization, AI and automation solutions, and managed services providing continuous monitoring for mission-critical systems.

The company is also developing internal leadership and project management capabilities to support larger and more complex projects.

Brand and market positioning

Kaopiz has undertaken initiatives to strengthen its brand positioning, emphasizing a shift toward becoming a DX partner rather than solely an offshore engineering provider. These efforts include increased participation in industry events, international awards, and partnerships across Asia.

Between 2023 and 2025, the company reported progress in areas such as AI, cloud transformation, and system modernization, alongside recognition from regional industry organizations and public sector partners in Japan and Southeast Asia.

Partnerships and outlook

In May 2025, Kaopiz entered into a strategic cooperation agreement with MedTech commercialization partner Axonvis to support innovation and market expansion in Southeast Asia.

Looking ahead, Kaopiz plans to expand its client base across the Asia-Pacific region, as well as North America and Europe, while strengthening its operations in Singapore and maintaining its established presence in Japan. The company stated that its medium-term strategy focuses on sustainable growth in revenue, workforce, and international delivery capabilities.
