The government has approved a proposal by conglomerate FLC to build a golf course in Gia Lai Province at a cost of VND1.142 trillion ($49.5 million).

To spread over an area of 174 hectares in Dak Doa District in the Central Highlands province, the course is expected to open in the fourth quarter of 2024.

Around 15 percent of the investment will be sourced from internal resources, while the rest will be borrowed.

The government has ordered the province to hand over the required land to the company.

According to the vice president of the Vietnam Golf Association, Pham Thanh Tri, there are 75 golf courses in the country.
