GameHub finalist to receive $4,450 in benefits

Each project selected for the GameHub Finals will receive VND10 million (US$404) in cash and a VND100 million ($4,045) media support package, in addition to benefits from investors.

GameHub, a first-of-its-kind program aimed at discovering promising game projects in Vietnam, is set to debut as part of the Vietnam GameVerse 2024 event. Eligible projects will enter the pitching round in April, where investors will evaluate and select the top 5 teams to advance to the final.

Every team reaching the final stage will be awarded VND10 million in cash along with a media package valued at VND100 million on VnExpress. In addition to the financial rewards, the top 5 projects will receive invaluable exposure by showcasing their products directly to potential investors. Furthermore, they may secure additional support, such as financial aid and training courses, from prominent entities like VNG and Google. These resources aim to bolster project development and facilitate extensive public outreach.

The GameHub technical council comprises esteemed leaders from technology firms and key game publishers in Vietnam, including FPT, VNG, and Gamota. Beyond offering expert evaluation, the council serves as a strategic advisor, guiding participating units on development trajectories to enhance their product offerings.

The GameHub Finals will take place on May 11-12 at Phu Tho Gymnasium, Ho Chi Minh City.

GameHub is one of the main activities at the International Game Exhibition - Vietnam GameVerse 2024. Alongside GameHub, the event hosts the Game Forum, themed "The Billion Dollar Journey of Vietnamese Games," offering a platform for discussions on pivotal industry topics. These include Vietnam's potential to lead the new generation of games, strategies for sustainable game creation and development, and opportunities for youth engagement.

Adding to the excitement are the Vietnam Game Awards (VGA 2024), recognizing excellence in products, publishers, and gaming communities. Enthusiasts can also look forward to the Cosplay Contest and Cosplay Parade, Game Talk series, Game Arena, Game Expo, and the B2B area, ensuring a vibrant and engaging experience for attendees.

Vietnam GameVerse 2024 is co-organized by the Authority of Broadcasting and Electronic Information under Ministry of Information and Communications, VnExpress, and the Vietnam Games Development Alliance. The event is expected to attract 40,000 participants.
