FPT Retail eyes $1.2 billion sales in 2022

FPT Retail, owner of FPT Shop and Long Chau Pharmacy, targets a 20 percent increase in revenues this year to VND27 trillion (US$1.2 billion).

It eyes pre-tax profits of VND720 billion, up 30 percent from 2021. The company will seek approval for the targets at the upcoming annual general meeting.

Last year, it reported revenues of VND22.5 trillion, 53 percent up from 2020, and profits of VND554 billion, a 20-fold increase.

Long Chau Pharmacy reported a 330 percent rise in revenues to VND4 trillion after opening 200 new stores.

FPT Shop, a consumer electronics retailer, saw revenues rise by 38 percent to VND18.5 trillion. It has 647 stores, including 52 new ones opened last year.

FRT is the largest laptop seller in Vietnam with a 35 percent market share in the first 11 months of last year. Its revenues from the segment topped VND5.7 trillion in 2021, a 220 percent increase.
