Vai said he looked forward to performing in Vietnam in the celebration of the 45th anniversary of his debut in the music industry. This will also be the artist’s first-ever show in Vietnam.

According to event organizers, Vai will perform tracks from his 2022 studio album "Inviolate," as well as unreleased tracks from his latest "Vai/Gash." He will also share his experiences in the music industry at a Q&A session with show attendees.

Vietnam is the first Southeast Asia stop of Vai’s "Inviolate World Tout." The artist is set to visit Thailand, Singapore, and Indonesia after his HCMC performance.

Vai, 63, started his music career in 1978 as a transcriptionist for American musician Frank Zappa. He made his solo debut in 1983 and has sold over 15 million records to date.

Throughout his career he has received a total of 15 Grammy Award nominations, and he won three times in 1993, 2002, and 2008.
