Quiz: Vietnamese noodles, can you disentangle them?

Well-done: It's pho. A type of Vietnamese soup, typically made from beef stock and spices to which noodles and thinly sliced beef or chicken are added. That’s how Oxford, the dictionary, puts it. For a word of foreign language to land a place in the English speaking world, it definitely takes more than simple beef stock, spices and thin slices of beef. Pho has its own story and a taste that should be tasted rather than told. Note that the word “pho” is both the name of the soup and the flat rice noodle strings that make its foundation.
